For microwave dal fry
  1. To make microwave dal fry recipe, combine moong, masoor and tuvar dal in a microwave safe deep bowl and wash it thoroughly.
  2. Add 2 cups of water along with little salt and mix well. Microwave on high the dal for 5 to 6 minutes.
  3. Remove and mix well. Now cover with a lid and microwave on high for 10 minutes.
  4. Once cooked, whisk it well and keep aside.
  5. Heat 2 tsp oil in another microwave safe bowl, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, ginger, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves.
  6. Mix well and microwave on high for 3 minutes. Add the onions, mix well and microwave for 4 to 5 minutes.
  7. Add the tomatoes, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander cumin seeds powder and ¼ cup water.

  9. Meanwhile, for the tempering, combine oil, kashmiri dry red chilli, and garlic. Microwave it for 2 minutes.
