Ingredients

For Healthy Sama Vegetable Pulao
1 cup sanwa millet (sama) , washed and drained
1 tbsp ghee
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1 tsp finely chopped green chillies
2 tbsp chopped carrot
1/4 cup cauliflower florets
1/4 cup green peas
1/4 cup finely chopped french beans
1/8 tsp salt or as advised by doctor / dietitian
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
Method

    For healthy sama vegetable pulao
  1. To make healthy sama vegetable pulao recipe, soak the sanwa millet in enough water for 10 to 15 minutes in a deep bowl. Drain and keep aside.
  2. Heat the ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add the cumin seeds and green chillies, sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
  3. Add the carrot, cauliflower, green peas, french beans and little salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the soaked sanwa millet and 2 cups of hot water, mix well and cover with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  5. Serve healthy sama vegetable pulao recipe hot garnished with coriander.
