નાળિયેર (Benefits of Coconut, nariyal in Hindi): તાજા નાળિયેરમાં સંતૃપ્ત ચરબી હોય છે પરંતુ તેમાંના મોટાભાગના એમસીટી (મધ્યમ ચેઇન ટ્રાઇગ્લાઇસેરાઇડ્સ) છે જે વજન ઘટાડવા પ્રોત્સાહન આપે છે. નાળિયેરમાં ઊંચી લૌરિક એસિડ (lauric acid) સામગ્રી સાથે ઉચ્ચ ફાઇબરની સામગ્રી 13.6 ગ્રામ (આર.ડી.એના. 45.3%) શરીરમાં કોલેસ્ટ્રોલનું સ્તર સુધારે છેઇન્સ્યુલિન સ્ત્રાવની (insulin secretion) ક્રિયામાં સુધારો કરવો અને બ્લડ સુગરના વધેલા સ્તરને ઓછો કરવો એ ડાયાબિટીસના દર્દીઓ માટે નાળિયેરનો એક હજી ફાયદો છે. નાળિયેરનાં 10 અદ્ભુત ફાયદાઓ માટે અહીં જુઓ.
