For Cheese Fondue
1/2 cup grated processed cheese
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp crushed garlic (lehsun)
1 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1 cup milk
1 tbsp white wine
salt and to taste
For Serving With Cheese Fondue
brun bread pieces
Method
- To make cheese fondue, heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the garlic and sauté on a medium flame for 30 seconds.
- Add the plain flour, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 30 seconds, while stirring continuously.
- Add the milk, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes or till the mixture thickens and no lumps remain, while stirring continuously.
- Reduce the flame, add the white wine and cheese, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 3 minutes, while stirring continuously or till the mixture thickens.
- Add the salt and pepper and mix well.
- Serve the cheese fondue immediately with herb bread and brun pav pieces.

This is a great recipe for cheese fondue cuz for the first time it worked for me!! Making fondue can be quite tricky, cuz you constantly need to stir till the lumps are out. I followed this recipe exactly and got great results! thanks.

This is a classic cheesy garlicky thick fondue. Add white wine to enhance the taste. The thicker the fondue is, the better it tastes so heat it up real good. Serve with hard bread. Easy to make.
