To make healthy carrot cake recipe for toddlers first sieve wheat flour, cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder and baking powder. Follow it by cooking butter, jaggery and milk to a smooth mixture. Add this butter mixture along with grated carrots to the flour mixture and mix it well. Pour this mixture into a greased and dusted round tin and bake it for about 30 minutes. Cool the cake completely upon baking and then its ready for serving to your little ones.

For carrot cake
  1. To make healthy carrot cake for kids, sieve the whole wheat flour, cinnamon powder and baking powder together and keep aside.
  2. Combine the butter, jaggery and milk in a broad non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 2 minutes, while stirring continuously. Cool it slightly.
  3. Combine the butter mixture, flour mixture and grated carrots in a deep bowl and mix well with the help of a spatula.
  4. Grease a 175 mm. (7”) diameter cake tin with melted butter and dust it with whole wheat flour and pour the prepared mixture into it and spread it evenly using a spatula.
  5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for ½ hour. Cool the carrot cake completely on a wire rack.
  6. Demould the carrot cake and cut into pieces and serve or store in an air-tight container.

    2. Add cinnamon powder to it.
    3. Add nutmeg powder to it. This is optional. If your kid doesn’t like the strong smell and flavour of nutmeg, avoid it.
    4. Add baking powder to it. This is necessary for rising of healthy carrot cake for kids.
    5. Sieve all these 4 ingredients together and keep aside. Sieving is necessary to make the cake lighter and soft.
    6. Next to make carrot cake for babies, add butter in a broad non-stick pan. 
    7. To this add grated jaggery. Grating is necessary so the jaggery melts faster and uniformly.
    8. Add milk also to it .
    9. Cook on a slow flame for 2 minutes till the butter and jaggery melts completely. Remember to keep stirring it continuously. Keep aside to cool slightly. 
    10. Add this butter mixture to the sieved flour mixture.
    11. Finally add grated carrots also. Use the regular orange carrots, and not the red carrots. Grate it thickly. 
    12. Mix well with the help of spatula. The mixture of healthy carrot cake recipe for toddlers should look thick and not too watery. 
    13. Grease a 175mm. (7”) diameter cake tin with little melted butter.
    14. Dust it with whole wheat flour.
    15. Pour the prepared mixture into it. 
    16. Spread the mixture of whole wheat carrot cake recipe for toddlers it evenly using a spatula.
    17. Bake the carrot cake for babies in a pre-heated oven at 180°C (360°F) for ½ hour. Cool completely on a wire rack.
    18. Demould healthy carrot cake recipe for toddlers and cut into pieces.

the carrot cake is no only meant for toddlers but also could be had by adults. the exceptional part about this cake is that there is no use of sugar in the cake which makes it healthy. the sweetness in the cake comes from honey and jaggery
