For lettuce soup- To make lettuce soup, heat the butter in deep non- stick pan, add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add the celery, lettuce leaves, water and milk.
- Cook on a medium flame for 7 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Cool slightly and blend in a mixer till smooth.
- Transfer the mixture in the same deep non-stick pan, add the salt and pepper powder and mix well. Cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Serve lettuce soup hot.

what is lettuce soup made of ? healthy Indian lettuce soup is made from 6 cups chopped iceberg lettuce, 1 1/2 tsp butter, 1 cup chopped onions, 1 tbsp chopped celery (ajmoda), 1/2 cup milk, 2 cups water, 1/2 tsp sea salt (khada namak) and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) to taste.
