- Heat the ghee in a non-stick pan, add the jowar flour and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.

Babies who have started weaning love to lick porridge. It is a smooth and soft textured purée. Weaning is an experimentation time for babies – in terms of flavours, textures and colours. As the colour of the jowar flour changes to light brown, add the prepared dates puree. The pleasant aroma of the jowar flour upon roasting is an indication that the flour has been cooked well.

Add ¾ cup of water. Adjust the quantity of water to get the porridge consistency. The amount of water may be a tbsp more or less depending on the quality of the flour.

Mix well using a whisk immediately.
