Makai Wada recipe - How to make Makai Wada

Ingredients
250 gms corn kernels (makai ke dane)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp sesame seeds (til)
1/2 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
salt to taste
a pinch of baking soda
oil for deep frying
buttermilk as required
Method
    Method
  1. Blend the corn kernels coarsely.
  2. Add the salt,chilli powder, turmeric powder, sesame seeds, ginger-green chilli paste, soda, sugar and little oil and mix well to a thick batter using buttermilk.
  3. Keep aside for 4 hours.
  4. Place a wet cloth on a rolling board and pat the wada on the cloth.
  5. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the vadas till they turn golden brown and crisp from all the sides.
  6. Serve hot with chutney.
