What is moong bhel | sprouted moong bhel | made off? moong bhel is made from simple and easily available Indian ingredients like 1 1/2 cups boiled sprouted moong (whole green gram), 2 cups puffed rice (kurmura), 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes, 1/4 cup finely chopped onions, 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania), 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp chaat masala, 2 tsp lemon juice and salt to taste.

Boil water in a deep pan as we want to cook the sprouts.

Add the raw sprouts.

Add some salt.

Mix well.

Boil for 8 to 10 minutes. This is a picture at 4 minutes of boiling.

Puffed rice isn’t a very wholesome cereal, as it is devoid of most nutrients including protein and fiber. So it is best avoided by weight watchers and diabetes.
