For The Masala Powder (makes 5 Tbsp)
1/4 cup chopped and roasted almonds (badam)
1/2 tsp nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
1/2 tsp saffron (kesar) strands

Method
- This masala powder stays fresh for upto a week when stored in an air-tight container in the refrigerator. You can make 1 to 2 cups of this drink daily as per your requirement.
- Heat the milk in a deep non-stick pan, add the prepared masala powder and honey, mix well and bring to boil.
- Serve hot.
- Combine the almonds and nutmeg and blend in a mixer to a smooth powder.
- Transfer the powder into a bowl, add the saffron and mix well.
- Store in an air-tight container and use as required.

It's a very soothing drink as the name suggests. The sweetness is just minimum. One can add more honey if somebody has a sweet tooth. But otherwise the sweetness was perfect for me.

soothing sleep inducer.. this drink helps to give a sound sleep.. specially when you are very tired.. the taste of the poppy seeds and the almonds is really very soothing.. This drink has really helped me.. Thank you for this recipe..
