Chunky sauces are always a delight because they give you a two-fold excitement, combining an awesome flavour with a fabulous mouth-feel!
This chunky Mexican Tomato Sauce is an exciting combination of tomatoes and onions, flavoured with spice powders and herbs. It is used in baked dishes, and may even be served as a dips with nacho chips or other crunchies.
Method- Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and green chillies and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the tomatoes, chilli powder, oregano, sugar and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Use as required.
