Ingredients

1/4 cup tomato puree
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp chilli sauce
1 tbsp cornflour
salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste

Method

Mix together all the ingredients with 1/2 cup of water and bring to a boil.
Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
Cool and use as a spread or serve hot with noodles and vegetables.

Tips

This makes a delicious spread for frankies and cheese sandwiches.
