Croutons are a perfect accompaniment for soups , pastas and salads ! Here we show you an interesting way to prepare croutons at home, without deep-frying.
Toasting the croutons on a non-stick pan with a dollop of butter gives them a rich flavour and an irresistible crunch too. The only thing to remember is that, unlike the deep-fried version, Pan-Toasted Croutons cannot be stored, they have to be served immediately before they lose their crunch.
Method- Cut the bread slices into cubes.
- Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the bread cubes and toss on a medium flame for 10 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
