Croutons are a perfect accompaniment for soups , pastas and salads ! Here we show you an interesting way to prepare croutons at home, without deep-frying.


Toasting the croutons on a non-stick pan with a dollop of butter gives them a rich flavour and an irresistible crunch too. The only thing to remember is that, unlike the deep-fried version, Pan-Toasted Croutons cannot be stored, they have to be served immediately before they lose their crunch.

4 large white bread slices
3 tbsp butter

  1. Cut the bread slices into cubes.
  2. Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the bread cubes and toss on a medium flame for 10 minutes.
  3. Serve immediately.

This crouton is just buttery.. and i have loved this to add in my soups.. which just makes it awesome in taste.. I have loved this..
