Use the icing as soon as it is prepared, before it hardens, and use a damp palette knife to spread it, so as to get a smooth finish.

  1. Sieve the icing sugar in a deep bowl and keep aside.
  2. Combine the butter in a deep bowl and mix it with a help of a wooden spoon till light and smooth for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the icing sugar gradually and mix well.
  4. Add the vanilla essence and mix well.
  5. Use as required.
