Ingredients

For The Soup
1 onion , roughly chopped
2 potatoes , chopped
2 carrot , diced
200 gms bottle gourd (doodhi / lauki) , roughly chopped
4 tomatoes , roughly chopped
1 cup milk
1 tbsp butter
100 gms 100 gm fresh cream
salt and freshly ground black pepper powder to taste

For The Rice and Cheese Balls
1/4 cup cooked rice
2 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1/4 cup grated processed cheese
1 tsp red chilli powder
salt to taste
oil for deep frying
Method

For the soup

    For the soup
  1. Combine the vegetables along with 6 cups of water and salt, mix well and boil till the vegetables become soft and tender.
  2. Cool slightly and blend in a mixer till smooth. Keep aside.
  3. Heat the butter in a deep pan, add the pureed vegetables and bring the liquid to boil.
  4. Add the milk and pepper, mix well and simmer for 3 minutes.
  5. Keep aside.

For the rice and chesse balls:-

  1. In a bowl, take the rice and mash using a spoon.
  2. Add the grated chesse ,maida, chilli powder,and salt and mix well.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal sized small rounds.
  4. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry till they turn golden brown in colour from the sides.

How to proceed

    How to proceed
  1. Just before serving, add the balls in the soup, bring the soup to boil.
  2. Serve hot.
