Raw Banana Crispies
1 1/4 cups parboiled and diagonally cut raw banana
2 cups corn flakes for rolling
oil for deep-frying

To Be Mixed Together Into A Batter ( Using 1 Cup Of Water)
3/4 cup plain flour (maida)
2 tbsp cornflour
1/2 tsp green chilli paste
1/2 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste

Method

For raw banana crispies

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}raw banana crispies{/span}, first parboil the raw bananas, let them cool, then peel and cut them diagonally.
  2. Make a batter by adding plain flour, cornflour, green chilli paste, chilli powder, salt and 1 cup of water to a bowl.
  3. Whisk the batter until smooth, breaking up any lumps that form.
  4. Dip each parboiled raw banana piece in the prepared batter and roll in the cornflakes till it is evenly coated from all the sides.
  5. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, a few banana pieces at a time, till they turn golden brown.
  6. Serve {span class="bold1"}raw banana crispies{/span} immediately with tomato ketchup.
