Recipe Description for Railway Patties
- To make {span class="bold1"}railway patties{/span}, heat the oil in a deep non-stick, add ginger garlic paste and green chillies and sauté for few seconds.
- Add carrots, beetroot, french beans and green peas and cook on high flame for a minute.
- Remove from the flame, transfer the mixture to a plate and allow it to cool completely.
- Add mashed potatoes, turmeric powder, chilli powder, chaat masala, salt, black pepper powder, breadcrumbs and coriander. Mix well to form a patties mixture.
- Divide and roll the mixture into 14 equal portions and shape each portion into a 75 mm. (3”) flat oval.
- Dip each patties in the prepared slurry and roll in the bread crumbs till they are evenly coated from all the sides.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep-fry each patties till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve {span class="bold1"}railway patties{/span} immediately with tomato ketchup.
