For eggless whole wheat cake- To make eggless whole wheat cake, in a small bowl, combine chopped dates and hot milk. Mix and keep aside for 30 minutes.
- In a deep bowl, add hot water, jaggery powder, melted butter, dates milk mixture and vanilla extract. Whisk well.
- Sieve wheat flour, plain flour, baking powder and baking soda. Whisk well till lump free.
- Add the chopped walnuts and fold in gently using a spatula.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf tin and top it up with dates and jaggery.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180° c for 30 minutes or until it’s perfectly baked.
- Remove and allow it to cool completely. Once cooled, cut into slices.
- Serve the eggless whole wheat cake.
