  1. To make vegan chocolate cake, combine 1 cup of warm water, oil, vinegar and vanilla essence in a deep bowl and mix well. Keep aside.
  2. Combine the plain flour, cocoa powder, castor sugar, baking powder and salt in another deep bowl and mix well using a whisk.
  3. Add the prepared water-oil mixture to it and mix well using a whisk.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased and dusted rectangle aluminium cake tin of 250 mm. (10”) x 150 mm. (6”).
  5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 25 minutes.
  6. Cool slightly and loosen the edges using a sharp knife. Demould the cake and cut it into 15 equal square pieces.
  7. Serve the vegan chocolate cake or use as required.

Batter of Vegan Chocolate Cake

 

    1. For preparing the batter of Vegan Chocolate Cake, in a deep bowl take 1 cup of warm water.
    2. Add oil. If vegan butter is available then make use of it. We have used vegetable oil which will provide moistness to the vegan chocolate cake, you can use any variety of oil.

    3. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 25 minutes. The time taken for baking varies from oven to oven so, after the initial 20 minutes, keep checking the oven to prevent the cake from burning.
    4. Cool slightly and loosen the edges using a sharp knife.
    5. Demould the cake and place on a chopping board.
    6. Cut Vegan Chocolate Cake into 15 equal square pieces.

HI, You can add flavour like coffee to the batter. and make sure you taste the cake after it has cooled down completely..
