Ingredients
Main Ingredients
2 tbsp ghee
1 cup Grated sweet corn cob
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp freshly grated coconut
1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
a pinch of saffron (kesar) strands
1/4 cup chopped mixed nuts (cashewnuts and pistachios)
Method
- Heat the ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add the sweet corn, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 10 minutes, while stirring continuously.
- Add the milk and sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 6 minutes, while stirring continuously.
- Add the coconut, cardamom powder and saffron, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 4 minutes or till it leaves the sides of the pan, while stirring continuously.
- Switch off the flame, add the nuts and mix well.
- Serve hot.

Hi, You should get the same colour, at times colour may vary because of the quality of saffron one is using.

Makai ka halwa. . This was really a suprise fir me... as I could not believe we can make a sweet with sweet corn.. This was simply amazing.. A must try recipe. .
