Add the garam masala, asafoetida and curd-milk mixture and mix well. Add cauliflower and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 6 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Serve hot garnished with coriander.

what is khatta gobhi recipe made of? dahi wali gobhi is made from cheap and easily available ingredients in India such as 3 cups blanched cauliflower florets, 1/2 cup beaten sour low-fat curds (dahi), 1 cup low-fat milk , 99.7% fat-free, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi), 2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson), 2 tsp urad dal (split black lentils), 8 curry leaves (kadi patta), 2 whole dry kashmiri red chillies , broken into pieces, 1 tsp garam masala, a pinch of asafoetida (hing), 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania), salt to taste and a coconut based dressing. Bring water to a boil in a deep non stick pan.

Add 3 cups chopped cauliflower florets.
