    1. To make kela methi nu shaak recipe | banana methi leaves sabzi | Gujarati semi dry sabzi | heat 3 tbls oil in a non-stick kadhai.
    2. Add 1 1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson).
    3. Let the seeds crackle.
    4. Add 3/4 tsp asafoetida (hing).
    5. Add 6 cups finely chopped fenugreek (methi) leaves.
    6. Sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
    7. Sprinkle a pinch baking soda.
    8. Add salt to taste. We added 1/2 tsp salt.
    9. Mix well.
    10. Cook on a slow flame for about 3 minutes till the fenugreek leaves become soft.
    11. Add 2 1/2 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
    12. Add 3/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi).
    13. Add 1 tsp chilli powder.
    14. Add 2 1/2 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder.
    15. Add 1 1/2 tsp sugar.
    16. Mix well.
    17. Cook on a medium flame for another 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
    18. Add 1 1/4 cups bananas , peeled and roughly chopped.
    19. Mix gently.
    20. Cook on a medium flame for 1 more minute.
    21. Serve kela methi nu shaak | banana methi leaves sabzi | Gujarati semi dry sabzi |  immediately with rotlis, white butter.
