Ingredients
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup thinly sliced onions
1 1/2 cups boiled chana dal (split bengal gram)
1/2 cup boiled and chopped potatoes
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp coriander (dhania) powder
1/4 tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
salt to taste
1/4 cup low fat curds (dahi)
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania) for garnishing
Method
    Method
  1. Heat the oil in a broad and deep pan, add the onions and saute till they turn soft.
  2. Add the cooked chana dal, potatoes, cayenne pepper, garam masala, coriander, cumin seeds, lime juice, salt, and 1/4 cup of water, mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour into in individual serving bowls.
  4. Serve hot garnished with 1 tbsp curds and coriander.
