Crepes are thin pancakes with a lovely, melt-in-the-mouth texture. You can definitely dig into a few warm crepes laced with honey for breakfast, but these delightful creations are used more popularly for making fabulous desserts , topped or stuffed with cream, ice-cream , fruits and sauces.
In this innovative recipe, we bring you Chocolate Eggless Sweet Crepes, which combine the magic of cocoa with the appealing form and mouth-feel of crepes.
You can make really awesome desserts with this one, as the chocolaty flavour makes the crepes even more appealing to a lot of people. You can try making more crepe-based desserts like Crepes Belle Helene and Caramelised Banana Crepes .
Method- Combine the plain flour, cornflour, cocoa powder, milk, melted butter, salt and ¼ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well using a whisk till no lumps remain.
- Heat a 150 mm. (6”) non-stick pan and brush it lightly with butter. Cool slightly, pour a ladleful of the mixture into the pan and tilt in a circular motion to make a 150 mm. (6”) round.
- Cook it, using a little butter, till light pink spots appear on both the sides.
- Repeat with the remaining batter to make 5 more crêpes.
- Use as required.
