Ingredients

For The Tortillas
5 tbsp maize flour (makai ka atta)
5 tbsp plain flour (maida)
2 tsp oil
salt to taste
plain flour (maida) for rolling

To Be Mixed Into A Filling
3/4 cup canned baked beans
1/2 cup grated processed cheese
1 tbsp chilli sauce
salt to taste

  1. Combine all the ingredients into a deep bowl and knead into a soft dough using enough water. Keep aside.

  1. Divide the filling into 4 equal portions. Keep aside.
  2. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.
  3. Roll a portion of the dough into a 175 mm. (7") diameter circle using a little plain flour for rolling.
  4. Place a portion of the filling on one half of the tortilla and fold it over to make a semi-circle and press it lightly to seal the edges.
  5. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the quesadilla, using a little oil, till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides.
  6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 to make 3 more quesadillas.
  7. Serve immediately.

This is really very tasty.. and easy to make .. This recipe is very much enjoyed by the kids.. as it has lots of cheese with saucy beans.. This is best when.. They are hungry in the evenings.
