Homemade ice-creams, which are made with milk and corn flour, usually have a slightly icy texture, quite different from the creamy commercial ice-creams. Try this Rich Vanilla Ice-Cream made with fresh cream and milk, and you will not be able to tell the difference between this and store-bought vanilla ice-cream. Enjoy this delicious treat as it is, or use it as a base for other desserts and smoothies.

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well using a whisk till smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a shallow aluminium container. Cover with an aluminium foil and freeze for 8 hours or till semi-set.
  3. Pour the mixture into a mixer and blend till smooth.
  4. Transfer the mixture back into the same aluminium shallow container. Cover with an aluminium foil and freeze for approx. 10 hours or till set.
  5. Scoop and serve.

Hello mam, just wane know where could I''ve gone wrong Why my ice cream melts immediately the moment I get it out from freezer? It also does not freeze when scooped n kept in plastic bowl? Rest everything''s good??

Hi Binita, Check the cooling of your freezer and make sure you have set the ice cream in an aluminium container and not a plastic. Also make sure your freezer is not over stocked...

Hi, i tried this one yesterday. it was my first time that i made ice cream. its so so easy and wonderful recipe. and no one can make out that this ice cream hardly took any time. a must try :)

Hi , Make sure you have covered the the ice cream while it is being set. And after it is semi set.. churn it very well till smooth and den put it back.. in same tin and cover it well..

Hi ma''am I have followed the recipe when I freeze the mixture for 8 hours it became like ice cubes. I don''t know what to do. I have put it in an aluminum container covered with aluminum foil and placed it in the freezer. Please help

Hi, Not necessary, if using boiled milk make sure you have cooled it completely.
