For the batter- Combine all the ingredients along with ½ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well to make a thick batter. Keep aside.
How to proceed to make fried mozzarella sticks- Cut the mozzarella cheese into 14 long sticks of 75 mm. (3”) x 25 mm. (1”) with 1 cm thickness.
- Dip each cheese stick into the batter so that it is evenly coated on all the sides.
- Roll the cheese sticks in bread crumbs till they are evenly coated from all the sides.
- Heat the oil in a deep kadhai and deep-fry 2 to 3 cheese sticks at a time on a high flame for approx. 30 seconds or till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.
- Serve the fried mozzarella sticks immediately.
Handy tip :- While deep-frying, do not turn the stick too many times as they might break and the cheese might ooze out.
