For kashmiri kahwa
 

  1. To make kashmiri kahwa, combine the saffron strands and 1 tbsp of warm water in a small bowl, mix well and keep aside.
  2. Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan, add the cinnamon stick , cardamom, cloves and sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for approx. 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Lower the flame, add the kashmiri green tea leaves, mix well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  4. Strain the tea in a deep bowl using a strainer.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a saucepan, add the saffron-water mixture and almonds, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 1 minute, while stirring continuously.
  6. Serve the kashmiri kahwa immediately.

    1. Like Kashmiri Kahwa, Kashmiri Tea. Tea is a popular beverage in India. Method for Kashmiri Kahwa

 

    1. To make the Kashmiri kahwa recipe, heat 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Traditionally, the Kashmiri kahwa is made in a samovar, a metal container.

    2. Add the 1 small piece cinnamon (dalchini).

    3. Add the 2 cardamom (elaichi) , slightly crushed. Before adding, slightly crush the elaichi to get better flavor.

    4. Add the 2 clove (laung / lavang). If you have, then you can also toss in few dried rose petals in the kahwa.

    5. Also, add the 2 tbsp sugar and mix well. You can substitute sugar with honey if you like Let it simmer on a medium flame for approx. 3 to 4 minutes.

    6. While the Kashmiri kahwa is boiling, in a small bowl, take the 1/4 tsp saffron (kesar) strands.

    7. Add 1 tbsp of warm water. Mix well and keep aside.

    8. After 4 minutes, lower the flame, add the 4 tsp Kashmiri green tea leaves. Mix well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

    9. Strain the Kashmiri kahwa in a deep bowl using a strainer.

    10. To make the kashur kahwa at home, transfer the mixture back into a saucepan.

    11. Add the saffron-water mixture.

    12. Also, add the 1/4 cup finely chopped almonds.

    13. Mix well and cook Kashmiri kahwa on a slow flame for 1 minute, while stirring continuously. You will notice the colour of the saffron coming through.

    14. Strain the Kashmiri kahwa in a cup. Garnished with a few saffron (kesar) strands.

    15. Serve the Kashmiri Kahwa recipe | Kashmiri Tea | Authentic Kashmiri Kahwa immediately.
