The Chinese Sweet and Sour Ginger is a quick and easy accompaniment that is sure to make you drool!
All you need to do is chop the ginger and mix all the ingredients together, but the interplay of ginger’s spiciness with sugar, salt and lemon juice creates a superb flavour that is sweet, tangy and spicy too.
It is sure to pep up any meal. You can serve this immediately or store in the refrigerator in a dry, airtight glass jar.
Sesame Pak Choi and Kimchi are other popular Chinese accompaniments .
.
Method- Combine the sugar, vinegar, 1/3 cup water, lemon juice and salt in a bowl and whisk well.
- Add the ginger and mix well.
- Serve as an accompaniment or store refrigerated.
