  1. To make garlicky herb of cheesy garlic pull apart bread recipe | cheese garlic pull apart French bread | cheese garlic crack bread | in a small bowl take 4 tbsp soft butter. It is important to use soft butter, so if you wish to stuff the bread using your fingers then it becomes easier as compared to melted butter. If you’re using unsalted butter add a little salt.
  2. Add garlic paste.
  3. Add the dried oregano. You can go really wild with the flavors for this and add other herbs, spices and seasonings like parsley, rosemary, thyme to perk up the cheesy pull-apart bread.

  1. To prepare cheesy garlic pull apart bread recipe | cheese garlic pull apart French bread | cheese garlic crack bread | slit the French bread horizontally using a sharp bread knife as shown in the image below. Ensure not to cut all the way down to the base of the bread. I personally feel the best bread to use for Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread is crusty dense bread like sourdough.
  2. Then make diagonal slit using a bread knife at an equal distance as shown in the image below again keeping the base of the loaf intact.
  3. Apply the garlicky herb mixture in between the horizontal slits.
  4. Also, apply the garlicky herb mixture in between the diagonal slits using a butter knife.
  5. Stuff the horizontal and diagonal slits evenly with cheese. If you love the stretch and pull when you tear the pieces off, make use of mozzarella cheese instead. If you’re using cheese slice then stack them together and cut into 1-inch squares. You can use any type of cheese you like for this recipe, some great options include cheddar, Monterey Jack, fontina, cheddar or Swiss.
  6. Bake the cheese and garlic crack bread in a pre-heated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 15 minutes. Serve ccheesy garlic pull apart bread | cheese garlic pull apart French bread | cheese garlic crack bread | immediately.

The taste was good, however, spreading and stuffing inside the cuts was difficult and my bread ripped into 2 while I was stuffing across the vertical slit. Instead, it is easy to cut into regular slices, and spread the garlic paste and sprinkle with cheese. Heating probably should be reduced to around 10 to 12 minutes based on texture desired. Also, better use salted butter otherwise it would be too bland.

Tarla Dalal    Hi, While slicing the loaf, do not cut it too deep through the bread. if you feel it is getting baked more, you can cover it with foil and bake it.
