Method- Stone the cherries (or chop the peaches). Keep aside the syrup.
- To the fruit syrup, add the cornflour and sugar.
- Boil for a little time. Stir till it becomes thick. Then add the lemon juice and fruit (also cochineal in case of cherry sauce). Pour the hot mixture into a bowl and chill.
