Ways to use Pineapple, Cooking and Juicing with Pineapple

Pineapple by itself taste great with natural sweetness. We give you some lovely recipes using Pineapple in Juices, Smoothies, Salads, Stir-Fry and Sandwiches

One of the most appetising and versatile of all tropical fruits is the pineapple. Juicy and flavoursome, it has a unique sweet-sour taste that is hard to resist. Apart from tasting great, it is also a storehouse of goodness, containing a range of nutrients including Calcium, potassium, High Fiber, and Vitamin C. In addition, it is a good source of vitamin B1, vitamin B6, copper and dietary fibre.

Pineapples boast a group of sulphur-containing proteolytic enzymes, which make the fruit an excellent aid to digestion. Fresh pineapples are also rich in Bromelain, which has significant anti-inflammatory effects. Eat a pineapple to reduce swelling in inflammatory conditions such as acute sinusitis, sore throat, arthritis and gout.

While pineapples are delectable when eaten alone or in a salad or Sandwich or Stir Fry, try these recipes collection the next time you bring home the luscious fruit. My favourite Sandwich is Pineapple, Celery and Cottage Cheese Sandwich as paneer and pineapple always make a great combination.

Cucumbers and pineapples are juicy, refreshing and rich with vitamin C, vitamin E, iron, fibre and water. These foods help in cleansing the system, maintaining body temperature, and hydrate the body. Chopping them up for this Pineapple Cucumber Salad is a great way begin a meal and ensure that you don’t pile on too many calories.

Drink a glassful of this Spinach, Apple and Pineapple Juice to keep you going full force all day! Pineapple is the source of carbohydrate here to provide energy. Taken in the mid-afternoon, it will give you a mentally and physically stress-free evening and still leave you with energy reserves for the rest of the day.
