This is not really a barbeque recipe but I like the way the cottage cheese melts lightly when grilled just before you serve them. It s also a substantial dish to add to a barbeque menu. Serve them with burger buns to make veggie burgers.

Main Procedure
  1. Soak the bread slices in water for 2 minutes and then squeeze out the water.
  2. Combine the potatoes, cheese, coriander, chillies, onions, cabbage, bread slices and salt and mix well.
  3. Shape into 4 cutlets.
  4. Mix the flour in 1 cup of water to make a smooth batter. Dip the cutlets in
  5. Deep fry in oil, drain on absorbent paper and keep aside.
  6. Just before you wish to serve, grill them over a charcoal or electric barbeque.
  7. Serve hot with the barbeque sauce.

No, these tikkis are not suitable for those on Paleo Diet as it includes bread and potatoes along with being deep fried.

If i make potato cutlet previous day and put in fridge becomes soft. How i can i avoid this. Also would paneer cutlet be better if i make it previous day?
