Ingredients

2 1/2 cups plain flour (maida)
300 ml soda or thumbs up
5 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp soda
1 cup butter
3 tbsp powdered sugar
1 tin of condensed milk

FOR ICING:
2 tbsp cornflour
3 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tbsp sugar
200 ml milk
Method


  1. Mix butter,milkmaid and sugar very well.
  2. In another vessel mix well maida,baking soda and sodium biacarb.seive it 3-4 times.
  3. Mix half maida in butter and half in thums up..whisk it properly and then mix both the mixture well.
  4. Take the mixture in a creased container and then keep it in the oven at 150 decree c.

Icing:

    Icing:
  1. Mix cornflour, cocoa and sugar with 5-6 tsp cold milk.
  2. Heat the remaining milk till it boils, then slowy add the cornflour mixture in such a manner that it doen,t form lumps..
  3. Boil till milk thickens.well it is cool mix it in a gringer or boss.use this icing on cake..

Hello ma’am.....tried this recipe yesterday.the texture of the cake didn’t come out the way the other cakes are.the top was crusty and the center was very dense and appeared undercooked though the toothpick came out clean.i baked it @140 degrees for 1 hour.kindly advise what went wrong.looking forward for your inputs.
