Ingredients

For Stuffed Paneer Pakora
2 cheese slices
16 thin sliced paneer (cottage cheese)
chaat masala for sprinkling
4 tsp green chutney
oil for deep-frying

To Be Mixed Into A Batter (using 1/2 Cup Of Water)
1 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
2 tbsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
2 pinches of baking soda
salt to taste
2 tbsp hot oil
Method

For stuffed paneer pakora

    For stuffed paneer pakora
  1. To make stuffed paneer pakora, place the cheese slice one by one on a flat, dry surface and cut it into 4 equal pieces. You will get 8 cheese slice pieces in all. Keep aside.
  2. Place 1 paneer slice on a flat, dry surface and sprinkle little chaat masala evenly over it.
  3. Spread ½ tsp green chutney over it.
  4. Place a cheese slice piece over it and sandwich it using 1 more paneer slice.
  5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 to make 7 more stuffed paneer pieces.
  6. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai, dip the stuffed paneer pieces into the besan batter one by one and deep fry on a medium flame till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
  7. Serve the stuffed paneer pakora immediately.

  3. Add 1 tsp chilli powder.

  5. Add ¼ tsp asafoetida (hing).
  6. Add 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania).
  7. Add 2 pinches of baking soda and salt to taste.
  8. Add 1 tbsp hot oil. This helps to make the pakora crispy.
  9. Add 1/2 cup of water.
  10. Mix well using a whisk till no lumps remain. The batter has to be very smooth. Keep aside.
