The way in which a dish is cooked – by steaming, boiling, shallow-frying, deep-frying, microwaving, sautéing, stir-frying, baking, etc. – is called the cooking method. There is a traditional way of cooking each dish, but sometimes different methods can also be used to make the same dish. This might give the same results or give a different taste and texture. Sometimes, the cooking method might also be changed to make the dish healthier for somebody with diet restrictions.
