Mixed vegetable pulao is a popular rice recipe which can be prepared during festivals or special occasions. Mixed vegetables like cauliflower, carrots, beans, peas, etc are added to chawal in this mixed vegetable pulao rice and makes for a tasty and healthy main course.
Method- Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and add the cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add the rice and saute till rice turns pink.
- Add the salt and 3 cups water, mix well and close and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Serve hot.
