If you always thought dosas are only for breakfast, this recipe will make you think again about the versatility of this all-time favourite South Indian delicacy.
In this mouth-watering treat, dosas are cut into strips, deep-fried till crisp, and served with a tongue-tickling Honey Chilli Sauce, which delights your taste buds with a burst of tang, a dash of sweetness and a touch of spice too!
To make Fried Dosa Strips with Honey Chilli Sauce, you need to start with dosas that are crisp but not too crisp. If the dosas are too crisp, they will crumble and you will not be able to cut them neatly with a knife. Once you get this right, you are assured of the success of this dish.
The dosa lover’s must-try list also includes Sada Dosa and Spring Dosa , a famous Mumbai Roadside snack.
Method- Place a dosa on a clean, dry surface, cut into 16 equal long pieces.
- Repeat step 1 with 4 more dosas.
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, deep-fry a few strips till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
- Serve immediately with honey chilli sauce.
