This unusual drink is made by cooking and blending guavas, without straining, to retain most of the fibre. With shades of ginger and lemon, this Guava juice also has an awesome flavour.
Even though some amount of vitamin C might be lost during cooking, this Guava Drink is still a very good source of the nutrient. Remember to use fully-ripe guavas as they taste best and will also require less sugar, helping make this drink even healthier.

what is guava juice recipe made of ? Indian peru juice is made from 2 cups guava cubes, 3 tbsp sugar, 1/2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp ginger (adrak) juice and salt to taste. See below image of list of ingredients for guava juice recipe.

The delightful guava fruit is round or oval shaped, around 4-12cm long. The outer skin may be rough and bitter or soft and sweet. And depending on the variety, the skin can be thick or thin too. It is usually green when raw and becomes yellow, pink or green as it ripens. Guava is characterised not only by its unique flavour but also its dominant aroma, which pervades the whole room when cut, in ways similar to lemon rind.

To make guava juice recipe | Indian peru juice | amrud drink | pregnancy juice for constipation | in a broad non stick pan put 2 cups guava cubes.

Add 1½ cups of water.

Mix well.

Cover with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 7 minutes, while stirring occasionally.

Cool completely and put in a blender.

Blend till smooth.

Transfer the mixture into a deep bowl.

Add 3 tbsp sugar.

Add 1/2 tbsp lemon juice.

Add 1 tsp ginger (adrak) juice.

Add salt to taste.

Add 2 cups of chilled water.
