Grated Coconut ( South Indian Recipes)

Prefer traditional method over blending as it tastes better. Also remember to avoid the brown portion while scraping as it will change the color of the milk.
Method- Break the coconut into 2 parts.
- Scrape it using the traditional scrapper (carefully scrape the white part of the coconut avoiding the brown skin)
- Alternatively you can blend the coconut into a mixer, peel the brown skin and chop the white part and blend it in a mixer using 2 tablespoons of water.
- Use as required.
