Goreng Pisang , simple soul food. A very popular snack in far asian cuisine, these batter-fried bananas make a melt-in-the mouth dessert after a nice Chinese dinner.
Crisp on the outside and soft in the inside, ripe bananas are batter-fried in hot oil and eaten warm drizzled with honey or coated in brown sugar.
Walk about the streets of china and you can catch glimpses of people buying these fritters off hawkers and savoring them.
While serving it as dessert , pair it with a scoop of mango or Coconut Ice-Cream and let your family and friends simply tuck-in!
Method- Heat the oil in a kadhai, dip the banana pieces in the batter till evenly coated and deep-fry a few at a time till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.
- Roll each piece in brown sugar till it is evenly coated from all the sides. Serve immediately with coconut or mango ice-cream.
