To make dahiwali roti, combine the curds with 1 cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well using whisk. Keep aside. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds and urad dal. When the mustard seeds crackle, add the chapati pieces and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds. Switch off the flame, add the curd-water mixture, turmeric powder, jaggery, chilli powder and salt. Switch on the flame, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 1 minute, while stirring continuously. Add the coriander, cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Serve immediately.

1 cup curd (dahi)
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
1 tsp urad dal (split black lentils)

1 tbsp chopped jaggery (gur)
1 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
Method

This is the best way to make use of leftover rotis...it is so quick to make and at the same time also very filling...I add little more jaggery as compared to the recipe...Worth a try !

This is one of my favourite quick dish.. It is proper one-meal dish. Buttermilk gives it a nice khatta mithha taste, while other spices enhances the taste of this recipe. It is not so spicy and everything is just to perfection. Whenever i am bored of having rotis,i make this dahiwali roti..
