Method
    Method
  1. Combine the dals and rice with red chillie and fennel seeds and blend n a mixer to a smooth paste.
  2. Add the turmeric and salt, mix well and keep aside
  3. Heat 1 tsp of oil in a small pan and add the mustard seeds.
  4. When the seeds crackle, add the onions and curry leaves and saute till onions turn translucent.
  5. Pour this tempering to the batter and mix well.
  6. Heat a tava and pour a ladleful of batter and spread evenly to make a thin dosa.
  7. Cook using little oil till golden brown and crisp.
  8. Serve hot.

you have not mentioned how much time we have to soak d lentils

Tarla Dalal    Hi Tanvi, This is a member contributed recipe.. According to us the soaking of the lentils and the rice can be done for 2 to 3 hours.
