Coconut potato balls is an unique fried snack recipe with mashed potato and sweet potato balls filled with coconut filling and then fried till puris.Serve the crispy coconut potato balls as farali snack item or vegetable dish with curd or raita.

Ingredients

2 big potatoes, boiled
1 small sized sweet potato (shakarkand), boiled
2 tbsp upvaas bhajani
1 cup grated coconut
1 tsp roasted cumin seeds (jeera)
2 small green chillies
1 tsp lemon juice
salt as per taste
ghee for frying
Method


  1. Make a dough by mashing the potaoes and sweet potato together; use the upvaas bhajani for binding it together.

For filling:-

  1. Grind the roasted jeera and green chillies and mix it well.
  2. In the grated coconut and add lime juice and salt (as per taste) to the mixture.
  3. Take a ball of dough(a big lemon size) and flatten it into a puri shape on your hands.
  4. Fill a teaspoon of coconut filling on it and close the ends of puri to form a stuffed ball.
  5. Deep fry the balls in ghee.
  6. Serve with coconut corriander chutney.
