Ingredients


For Banana Salad
2 cups roughly chopped bananas
a few drops lemon juice
1/2 cup peeled and roughly chopped cucumber
1/2 tbsp finely chopped dill leaves
1 tbsp roasted and coarsely crushed peanuts
1/2 tsp finely chopped green chillies
salt to taste

For The Dressing
1/2 cup fresh curd (dahi) , whisked
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh mint leaves (pudina)
1 tsp honey
salt to taste
freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) to taste

For The Garnish
1 tbsp roasted and coarsely crushed peanuts
1/2 tbsp finely chopped dill leaves

Method

For banana salad

  1. For the dressing, combine the curds, mint leaves (pudina), honey, green chillies, salt and pepper in a bowl, mix well and keep aside.
  2. Combine the bananas, lemon juice, cucumber, dill leaves, crushed peanuts and salt.
  3. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. Any longer and the banana will loose colour.
  4. Just before serving add the prepared dressing and toss well.
  5. Serve the {span class="bold1"}banana salad{/span} chilled garnished with peanuts and dill leaves.
