Ingredients


For Veg Rice Cutlets
1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
1/2 cup finely chopped spring onions whites and greens
1 cup cooked rice (chawal)
1 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
1/2 cup grated processed cheese
1 tbsp cornflour
salt to taste
3 tbsp oil

For Serving With Veg Rice Cutlets
honey chilli sauce

Method

For veg rice cutlets

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}veg rice cutlets{/span}, combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and mix very well.
  2. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape each portion into a flat round cutlet.
  3. Heat 1½ tbsp of oil in a non-stick tava (griddle), place 6 cutlets on it and cook on a medium flame till they turn golden brown in colour from both the sides. Remove on a plate and keep aside.
  4. Repeat step 3 to cook 6 more cutlets in one more batch.
  5. Serve the {span class="bold1"}veg rice cutlets{/span} hot with honey chilli sauce.
