Ingredients
For Lebanese 7 Spice Powder
2 tbsp black peppercorns (kalimirch)
1/2 tbsp coriander (dhania) seeds
1/2 tbsp cinnamon (dalchini) sticks
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
1/2 tbsp clove (laung / lavang)
1/2 tbsp all spice powder
1/2 tbsp nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
Method
For lebanese 7 spice powder
- To make lebanese 7 spice powder, combine the black peppercorns, coriander seeds, cinnamon, cumin seeds and cloves in a broad non-stick pan.
- Dry roast on a slow flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring continuously.
- Remove in a plate and allow it to cool completely. Once cooled, transfer it into a mixer jar.
- Add the all spice powder and nutmeg powder, blend into a fine powder.
- Store the lebanese 7 spice powder in an air tight container and use as require.
