For drumstick soup- To make drumstick soup, heat the butter in a pressure cooker, add the drumsticks, onions and potatoes and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add 2 cups of water, mix well and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Blend the mixture along with the milk and 1½ cups of water in a mixer till smooth.
- Strain the mixture using a strainer.
- Transfer the mixture into a deep non-stick pan, add salt and pepper, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Serve the drumstick soup hot.

Place them on a chopping board and cut approximately in 2” pieces. Drumstick is rich in proteins and iron, making the drumstick soup a nutritious dish.

For making healthy drumstick soup, heat the butter in a pressure cooker. You can also make use of ghee, oil or healthy oil like olive oil.

Once the butter melts, add drumsticks.

Also, add onions and potatoes. You can also add 2 cloves of garlic if you like.

Mix well and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.

Add 2 cups of water and mix well.

Pressure cook for 3 whistles. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.

Once the mixture cools slightly, transfer it to a mixer jar.

Pour milk and 1½ cups of water. If you are vegan then make use of almond milk. You can also use water or vegetable stock but, then the drumstick soup won’t have a creamy texture.

Blend in a mixer till smooth.

Place strainer over a bowl and pass the blended mixture through it. Press it using a round ladle so you can get smooth maximum yield. Discards the fibre and seeds left out in the strainer.

Don’t forget to scrape from the bottom of the strainer.

Transfer the mixture into a deep non-stick pan.

Add salt and pepper.
