I know that honey is a better option ,but if one is allergic to it What I''d the option we have.

Tarla Dalal    Honey is a healthier option than sugar, so we have used honey in this cake. We suggest you use the same and avoid the use of sugar.

Hello, can I use ghee instead of butter? And is cinnamon powder an absolute necessity for this recipe? Can it be skipped?

Tarla Dalal    We would suggest using butter and ghee as that is required for the cake. But the cinnamon can definitely be skipped.

I made this recipe for a high tea organized at my home the other day... it was a super hit... besides the baking time.. it was a very quick recipe... i will recommend you to resist your temptation to dig into it till completely cooled down just to get the best texture of it...

Cake with whole wheat flour + honey + jaggery make it much healthier. Great for adults too.. The flavor of cinnamon and carrots stand out.

the carrot cake is no only meant for toddlers but also could be had by adults. the exceptional part about this cake is that there is no use of sugar in the cake which makes it healthy. the sweetness in the cake comes from honey and jaggery
